In 2020, our hearts were dealt a sudden and devastating blow as we bid farewell to Baaba's beloved mom, a woman we all cherished. That loss sparked something within us, a flame of inspiration.

Baaba and Esther's mothers hailed from Ghana, Moima's mom was a warrior who escaped Liberia's Civil War, and Victoria's mom brought the flavors of Nigeria to the US. Our mother’s may have left their homelands physically, but they brought their food, their language, and their culture with them.
